Claude KYC verification failed: what should you check?

A failed task on this site, a Persona rejection, and a restricted Claude account are different problems.

If a Claude KYC verification does not go through, first identify where the failure occurred. Save the displayed message and, for a task on this site, its task ID. The next step depends on whether the issue came from the submitted link, the Persona identity check, or the Claude account.

This site's task failed or the link expired

Check that the Persona inquiry link is complete and still valid. Our FAQ explains how failed tasks affect the remaining verification balance. To ask about a specific task, use the contact page with the task ID and the first eight characters of your key. Do not email your full key.

Persona or Claude rejected identity verification

Follow the message on the original page. Claude's identity verification guidance lists possible issues with photos, documents, and technical errors. If the Claude account is restricted after verification, use Claude's appeal channel and review our refund policy and account risk explanation.
